Pope has prayer intention for last day of June

Pope Francis noted the close of the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart with a special intention.

With his document on the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the works, Pope Francis made mention of this devotion, traditionally highlighted in the month of June, on the last day of the month.

After praying the midday Angelus, he suggested a prayer intention to get the last bits of June graces this month.

He said:

On this last day of June, let us implore the Sacred Heart of Jesus to touch the hearts of those who desire war, that they may be converted to plans of dialogue and peace.

On June 5, 2024, Pope Francis announced he is preparing a document on the Sacred Heart of Jesus, to be published in September, to help the faithful to “meditate on various aspects of the Lord’s love” in “a world that seems to have lost its heart.”

Pray for those who desire war …

War is one of the Holy Father’s most frequent topics, as he makes countless appeals to bring a stop to wars around the world.
