Students from Franciscan Unviersity of Steubenville call The Kartause, a Carthusian monastery in the Austrian Alps, "home" for a semester.

Tucked away in the foothills of the Austrian Alps sits the tiny picturesque village of Gaming. Every year hundreds of students from the Franciscan University of Steubenville flock to Gaming for their semester abroad. The students live, pray, and learn in Gaming’s pride and joy — The Kartause, a 14th-century Carthusian monastery.
