Pereto, Italy

For the past 48 years the town of Pereto in the southern Italian region of Abruzzo has been setting up an impressive live Nativity scene featuring an itinerant caravan. Locals dressed as Joseph and Mary ride donkeys to make their way to the stable where Mary gives birth to the Christ child.
