St. Joan of Arc
When St. Joan of Arc was was a teenager, St. Michael, St. Catherine, and St. Margaret appeared to her in visions, asking her to bring the Dauphin to Reims for his coronation. With the help of two soldiers, Joan traveled to the Royal Court where she gained the trust of Charles VII.
With a donated horse, armor, and weaponry, Joan rode to Orléans along with the French army. With her by their side, the French won battles against the English and reclaimed the cities of Orléans and Troyes, enabling Charles VII to be crowned as king in 1429. Joan was captured near Compiegne in 1430, and was burnt at the stake as a heretic in a politically-motivated and unjust trial.
