Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg
As granddaughter to Queen Victoria, the princess was baptized into the Church of England. But she converted to Catholicism to marry King Alfonso of Spain. As her husband embarked on numerous affairs, the now-queen threw herself into helping the sick and poor as well as helping to reorganize the Spanish Red Cross. She was conferred the Golden Rose by Pope Pius XI as a token of the Church's appreciation.
