Renaissance Paintings
A great number of painters, including Fra Angelico, Andrea del Verrocchio, Sassaferrato, and Fra Filippo Lippi painted a variety of images showing the Blessed Mother seated, some portraying an interpretation of scenes from the life of Mary like the Annunciation or crowning of Mary after the Assumption, while others just focus on the figure of the Mother and Child.
