A new graphic novel from Voyage Comics is placing the life work of soon-to-be St. Carlo Acutis - a website that tracks Eucharistic miracles - in the spotlight.

Blessed Carlo Acutis is soon to be canonized in the Catholic Church as St. Carlo Acutis, but before that, he’s starring in his second graphic novel thanks to the good folks at Voyage Comics.

Titled Miracles of the Eucharist with Carlo Acutis, the 32-page issue of what is likely to become a series will focus on the website that the first millennial blessed designed.

During his brief 15 years on earth, Blessed Carlo Acutis distinguished himself through his devotion to the faith. The computer-savvy youth was fascinated with Eucharistic miracles, and he combined these two interests to create a website that tracked and explained the 158 Eucharistic miracles that have been recognized by the Catholic Church.

The website, Miracoli Eucaristici, still exists today and stands as a valuable resource for religious education.

For years, Blessed Carlo Acutis’ website has inspired devotion, but now it has inspired Voyage Comics to produce an artistic tribute to the soon-to-be-saint and his life’s work. Miracles of the Eucharist with Carlo Acutis will explore each Eucharistic miracle on Bl. Carlo’s website through a unique narrative style.

In the first few pages, provided by Voyage Comics, we can see how the stories will begin with a brief scene that introduces Blessed Carlo Acutis and places him in a position to explain Eucharistic miracles to curious third parties.

In the initial issue, Bl. Carlo is approached by a group of friends who want to share a new game. The conversation quickly turns to why Carlo is working on a Sunday, when he explains that he’s doing “the Lord’s work.”

Readers are then swiftly transported to the 8th century to examine a Eucharistic miracle that took place in Lanciano, Italy. We especially liked the subtlety in the change of art style as the scene changed from a modern teenage boy’s bedroom to a period piece at a medieval monastery. While the preview doesn’t include the other Eucharistic miracles of the issue, Voyage noted that it will also touch upon the Eucharistic miracles that took place in Siena and Santarem.

Presented in full color, Miracles of the Eucharist with Carlo Acutis maintains the high standard of quality that we’ve come to expect from Voyage Comics. The artists at this faithful publishing company continue to create releases that rival anything from Marvel or DC Comics, even in their heyday.

Voyage Comics is currently running a pre-order special that will see discounts on all orders placed by June 7. In addition, with an eye towards utilizing the graphic novel as an educational resource, VC is offering bulk pricing on orders. Learn more at Voyage Comics
