One of the great things about being Catholic is how beautifully faith and reason work together.
Instead of being at odds, our minds and souls unite to enjoy learning about God’s wondrous creation.
Many great scientists were and are Catholic. You can read about some of them in this great book for kids, Brilliant.
As St. John Paul II wrote:
Faith and reason are like two wings on which the human spirit rises to the contemplation of truth; and God has placed in the human heart a desire to know the truth—in a word, to know himself—so that, by knowing and loving God, men and women may also come to the fullness of truth about themselves.
So how can we encourage our kids to “know the truth” of God’s creation?
