The wine, produced in a joint venture with a local co-op, aims to inspire fraternity, sharing, and meeting others when sharing a meal.

Fratelli Tutti (All Brothers) is Pope Francis’ third encyclical. Focused on fraternity and social friendship, the document states that the management of the COVID-19 pandemic, both at local and global levels, revealed a failure in international cooperation among peoples and nation-states. The encyclical, which calls for more human fraternity and solidarity and includes a straightforward plea to reject war, was signed October 3, 2020, as the Pope visited the tomb of his namesake, Francis of Assisi, and was published the following day – on the saint’s feast day.

Now, and within the framework of the 10th anniversary of Francis’ pontificate, the Factor Francisco Project team is organizing a series of activities in Argentina, the Pope’s homeland.

The tributes, which began on Friday, March 10, included the presentation of a wine named after the Pope’s encyclical Fratelli Tutti.

The wine, produced in a joint venture with a local co-op, aims to inspire fraternity, sharing, and meeting others when sharing a meal.

“The name of the wine invites us to reach out and share with others, like the encyclical itself,” said Néstor Borri, one of the leaders of the Factor Francisco Project.

The wine, available on their online store, includes a QR code printed on the label of each bottle that can be scanned to find the Pope’s writings and some other materials.
