Marriage is a beautiful sacrament that has much potential to be a beacon of God’s love in the world.
However, marriage is also one of the most difficult vocations to maintain, and married couples are in need of God’s grace to keep them united in love.
Here is a prayer from the USCCB that asks for God’s blessing upon all married couples.
O God, who in creating the human race
willed that man and wife should be one,
keep, we pray, in a bond of inseparable love
those who are united in the covenant of Marriage,
so that, as you make their love fruitful,
they may become, by your grace, witnesses to charity itself.
Through Christ our Lord
Amen.
