The recent death of Lisa Marie Presley at the age of 54 came as a shock to many, but at the same time people have spoken of the personal tragedies that the daughter of the King of Rock and Roll had experienced in her life, including her son’s death by suicide in 2020, and have stated that having experienced such pain, it’s not surprising her heart gave way.
While we don’t know the exact cause of her death, we can only imagine the grief she must have experienced in her life — and she is not alone. So many people know the pain of grief.
Sometimes we may feel we don’t have the words to convey our condolences, but these quotes from the Bible can offer some comfort in difficult times.

“May your mercy comfort me in accord with your promise to your servant.” Psalms 119:76
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, saves those whose spirit is crushed.” Psalms 34:19
