The coaching staff allowed the father to leave the pitch and go up to the reserved area to calm his little son down.

The first training session of the Brazilian team in Qatar attracted the attention of journalists from all over the world. The international press didn’t want to miss any detail of the performance of this South American team, which is considered one of the favorites to win the World Cup.

But nothing drew more attention than an incident starring midfielder Lucas Paquetá.

When the young father entered the field, his oldest son, Benício, 2 years old, who was in the stands with his mother and little brother, started to cry and insist that he wanted his daddy.

Paquetá was allowed by the coaching staff to leave the pitch and go up to the reserved area to talk to his family and calm his little son down. When the midfielder reached them, he hugged his wife and children, took the eldest on his lap, and talked to him a little bit, and soon the boy stopped crying.

Family first

People on social networks applauded the great “goal” that this daddy “scored” by showing love and care for his family. The coaching staff’s gesture of letting him take a moment to be a dad at that moment during practice was also highly praised.

On her Instagram profile, sports journalist Glenda Kozlowski wrote: “A scene that has happened in every home on the planet! With all the moms and dads who work outside the home! This doesn’t get in the way of focus at all! On the contrary, it makes us even stronger.”

After training, Lucas Paquetá took his children to the field, played with them, and took pictures. Duda Fournier, the player’s wife, posted the images and said: “First practice in Qatar … and us following our hero so closely 💛 I can’t describe the excitement! My God, how grateful I am!”

In another post, she stated, “THANK YOU JESUS, for allowing us to live this dream !!! Our family is YOURS 🙏🏼💙.”

Lucas Paquetá is 25 years old and is competing in the World Cup for the first time. He was discovered by the Flamengo soccer team (Rio de Janeiro), and then played in turn for Milan, Italy, Lyon, and France, and is now at West Ham, England.

Paquetá has two sons with digital influencer Duda Fournier: Benício, two years old, and Felipo, one year old.
