Sometimes you just need a few minutes to get something done, and few things hold a child’s attention like a TV episode.
But it can be tricky to find a great show that’s uplifting and positive. And it’s even harder to find a show that supports your family’s Catholic faith!
Fortunately there is some great programming available for young children, including some new shows. These shows teach young children about their Catholic faith in a positive and age appropriate way.
Juice Box
Spirit Juice Studios, an Emmy award-winning production firm, just launched Juice Box, an ad-free Catholic YouTube channel featuring high-quality entertaining and educational videos to bring the Catholic faith to life for children and families.
A new episode each Friday will use toys, stories, games, crafts, and more to introduce faith-based topics in a way that young children will understand, enjoy and remember.
My kids don’t watch much TV, but this show looks worth it. I’m planning to let them watch the newly released Juice Box episode each Sunday as part of our “day of rest” celebrations.
Marcam
Another new show for kids, Marcam is so much fun! You can read more about Marcam at our review:
Through singing, dancing, and exploring (think “Blippi” levels of enthusiasm), the energetic, curious and friendly host Marcam helps children better understand and become more familiar with the richness and depth of the Catholic faith by going on fun learning adventures.
Brother Francis
This fun, creative animated video series teaches kids Catholic stories and lessons. It’s such a sweet and delightful show!
Tomkin
Tomkin, the “Catholic cowboy,” explores Catholic prayers, items you’d see in a church, Bible stories and more, all with colorful and engaging animation.
Lukas Storyteller
This show features a friendly fish who shares the stories of the saints with young kids.
The Wonderful World of Benjamin Cello
The show description says,
Follow Benjamin Cello, a winsome country gentleman, as he leads his friends on song-filled adventures through the Land of the Baptized Imagination. Whether it’s dancing in the art-full beauty of Pennywhistle Park, hearing the hallelujah hoedowns of the Big Ol’ Barn, or reading deeply in the mysterious and elevated Book Endless Book Tower, The Wonderful World of Benjamin Cello will captivate your children with the beauty and purity of a God-breathed imagination!
These shows are specifically Catholic, but if you’re looking for sweet, wholesome kids’ shows from a wide range of sources, check out our list of 30 wholesome kids’ shows.
