In lists of Halloween activities and events, an increasing number of “ghost tours” are featured in nearly every major city in the United States. These tours often explore areas of a city that are reportedly “haunted,” and may even be led by a paranormal investigator who uses instruments to detect ghosts along the path.
While many of these ghost tours include actors who try to jump out and scare people, others are focused on finding “real” ghosts.
This is troubling, as Catholics believe that ghosts do exist, and are often sinister spirits trying to negatively influence humans.
Ghost tours have the potential of encountering demons who want to frighten humans. These malevolent spirits want to scare usand trick us into believing that they are more powerful than God, gaining our submission.
A primary goal of these evil spirits is to lure us away from God and entice us with a fascination with the demonic.
Such experiences can also leave the door to open to further demonic oppression, where a demon increases their presence in a person’s life.
It’s important to remember that while a ghost-themed activity may appear harmless at first, it is possible to encounter real spiritual dangers, leading a person into a life of fear instead of the loving arms of God.
