Fr. Alfred Delp, S.J. (+1945):

The experience we are all passing through must surely produce one thing—a passionate love of God and desire for his glory. As far as I am concerned, I find I have to approach him in a new and quite personal way. I must remove all the barriers that still stand between him and me, I must break down all the hidden reserve that keeps me from him … divine life within me as faith, hope, and love. All this must combine with my temperament, abilities, faults, limitations, together with external circumstance to form a new mission to which I am pledged.
