Being a Christian is certainly a joyful experience. However, it’s not just a question of finding joy in your relationship with God; it’s also the opportunities that come with practicing your faith with others.

A video on Facebook proves this point beautifully. In fact, the post explains how a group of wives came together at a baby shower and came up with the idea to prank their husbands. They all decided to buy the shame checkered shirt and make their husbands, and even sons, wear it to church.

The men came to the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Florida unaware that their fellow church members would be donning the same blue and pink shirt. The video by Tamara, whose husband is the assistant pastor, captures the moment the men entered into the church and the reactions are fantastic.

In particular we loved one older churchgoer who, on seeing the other men in their matching shirts, quickly took off his sports vest so he could proudly display his!

While the prank might have seemed just a little bit of fun, it actually does illustrate how much going to church is a time for communities to come together and bond. And it’s lovely to see how it can be an occasion to involve all the generations, too.
