Ask God to grant us all the same spirit that drove St. Dominic to preach to the world.

St. Dominic is one of the most revered and beloved saints in the Catholic Church, known for his extraordinary preaching and profound life of prayer.

Here is the collect prayer for his feast day, that his example will help us in our own spiritual lives.

Lord God,
you gave Saint Dominic to the Church of his day
as a great preacher of your truth.
We pray that he will help us in our time
by his merits, his teaching, and his unfailing prayer.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
