Let this quote from Padre Pio resonate throughout your summer and beyond

PADRE PIO

This profound thought from the Italian saint can be reinforced in the long summer months.

Summer is a strange time of year. Most people look forward to having some time off to spend with their families, but as the weeks draw on, many parents are ready to return to some form of “normalcy” and routine.

But before you wish those summer months away, ponder this thought from Padre Pio, and think about how you can actually use your summer season to embrace his advice:

Endeavor to unite the simplicity of children with the prudence of adults.”

This is certainly the sort of quote that stops you in your tracks and makes you ask, “Do I over-complicate my life?” Most of us would undoubtedly say “yes”!

But if we spend some time really engaging with our kids, it is easy to remember what it is to be able to take things at face value, to not overthink, and to just enjoy every moment that has been given to us. And isn’t that what summer is all about?

And, of course, this quote works both ways without us even knowing it. Summer is the time of year where we impart some of our own wisdom to our kids. After all, we seem to be constantly repeating all those endless safety tips to our carefree offspring!
