Pope Francis gave a three-pronged summary of the solace offered by the Eucharist, as at the end of the general audience on June 15, he noted that tomorrow is the solemnity of Corpus Christi, or the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ.

In many countries, the solemnity is celebrated on Sunday.

The Pope referred to the Eucharist as the “mystery of love,” and offered his prayer that it would be:

  • a source of grace and light that illuminates the paths of life,
  • support amid difficulties,
  • sublime comfort in the suffering of each day.
