Cardinal Chibly Langlois, 63, bishop of Cayes in Haiti, was the victim of a serious traffic accident on June 8 on a national road in the Caribbean country. According to the local press, he suffered several fractures but his life is not in danger. This accident comes almost 10 months after the earthquake of August 14, 2021, which had particularly affected his diocese and during which he himself was injured.
