Russian troops carried out a mass murder of the residents of Bucha. The media published shocking, graphic images.

A resident of Bucha said in a video made available by TVN 24 news outlet from Poland: “Five days passed, then 10 and then 13. I was frantically looking for my husband. One day a neighbor told me to look in the basement as there were two bodies there. She said that could be my husband. When I went downstairs, I recognized him by his shoes and pants. His body was cold. There was a bullet wound on his head. The body was mutilated; he was obviously tortured. I buried him a meter in the ground so the dogs would not gnaw at the body. That’s all.”

As Ukrainian soldiers have discovered, hundreds of such scenes have taken place in the city of Bucha, located north of Kiev.

As the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense announced, “New Srebrenica (ed. note: referring to the massacre in that town during the Bosnian War) . The Ukrainian city of Bucha was in the hands of Russian animals for several weeks. Local civilians were being executed arbitrarily; some with hands tied behind their backs, their bodies scattered in the streets of the city.”

The Ministry decided to make public a video shot during a drive through town. You can see here bodies of civilians lying at the road.

WARNING: The video contains images which some viewers may find distressing!

A mass grave, around 14 meters in length, was discovered next to the Church of St. Andrew and All Saints. It probably contains bodies of some 300 civilians murdered by the Russians.

Here are satellite pictures taken of this place on March 31 by Maxar:

The Polish News Agency PAP announced that “the Ukrainian author and journalist Stanislaus Aseyev noticed that the arrangement of the bodies – one in front of each building – implies systematic executions of men from each house. According to him, Russians proceeded in exactly the same way in Chechnya.”

Ukrainian President on the massacre in Bucha

In a video published last Sunday, President Zelensky referred in this way to the massacre in Bucha:

Hundreds of people killed. Civilians tortured and shot. Bodies on the streets. The area mined. Even the bodies of the dead were booby-trapped. We can see everywhere the effects of looting … There was a concentration of evil on our land: killers, executioners, rapists, and looters who call themselves an army. (…)

I want every mother of every Russian soldier to see the bodies of the dead people in Bucha, Irpin, and Hostomel. What did they do? Why were they killed? What did a man who rode a bicycle down the street do? Why did you try to kill ordinary peaceful people in an ordinary peaceful city? Why were women strangled after their earrings were pulled out of their ears? How was it possible to rape women and kill them in front of their children, making fun of their bodies even after they died? Why did they crush people’s bodies with tanks? What did the Ukrainian city of Bucha do to Russia?

The online news outlet rmf24.pl announced:

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov flatly denied the allegation of the massacre in Bucha. He himself alleged that the Russian experts are of the opinion that the films have been tampered with. “We reject any accusations of this sort. While the situation is no doubt serious, we urge all international leaders not to jump to conclusions and to make unsubstantiated accusations, but rather to consult other sources and to listen to our explanations.”
