Ask God to give hope to anyone experiencing darkness, through the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.

When the darkness of sin and evil surrounds an individual or group of people, it can very often lead to a loss of hope. It can appear that there is no light in the world.

The good news is that Jesus is with us in the Eucharist and his presence can be a light to all those experiencing darkness.

Here is a prayer adapted from Dom Prosper Gueranger’s Liturgical Year, praying that the Eucharist will shine brightly for all to see, bringing hope to their weary hearts.

Dear Jesus, let the happiness of your Eucharistic presence
extend to every portion of your Church.
Your face gladdens the saints in the holy city,
even our mortal eyes can see you beneath the veil of our delighted faith.
Hide not yourself from those brethren of ours who are experiencing doubt, frustration and fear.
Be a refreshment and a light to them in their darkness and peace in their agonies.
