These doctors celebrated their wedding in a hospital hallway. Joined by only a few people, the bride and groom said, "I do"!

In these difficult, turbulent times, Ukrainians continue to surprise the world with their courage and their strength. They also surprise with decisions like the one taken by these two young doctors in love.

They decided not to wait for a better moment, While on duty in one of the hospitals in Kyiv, they said the sacramental “I do”! Their wedding took place in an ordinary hall, and they were accompanied by only a few people. Instead of a wedding dress and a suit there were everyday doctor’s smocks. Instead of a veil, a flower in the bride’s hair. What remained was the most important thing — true love.

A video of this unusual wedding was published on Twitter by the portal Nexta.

“In Poland, in 1939, it was like that too.”

Although only a handful of people attended the ceremony, hundreds of congratulations and kind words appeared under the video. “Congratulations! Stay strong and never forget that love will always win!”; “Be healthy and happy under God’s protection”; “Live long and be among the happiest in the world!”

In the comments that flowed in from around the world, there was also a comparison of this situation to weddings during World War II. “In Poland in 1939 it was like that too. Today you have to love faster,” wrote one user.

This is not the first wedding that young Ukrainians have decided to do during this war. Read about the moving decision of Jarina and Svyatoslav.
