The 40 days of Lenten fasting are meant to imitate the 40 days Christ spent fasting and praying in the desert. In the same way, Lent is meant to be a special season of prayer for us all.

That means Lent is the perfect time for a retreat from the world to spend time with God, like Jesus did. But it’s not always easy to get away, especially if you have young children, elderly parents, or others for whom you are a caregiver.

Fortunately, there are some great virtual options to bring a retreat to you! These 5 retreats are designed especially to be done online.

We hope that taking part in one of these online retreats will bring you deep prayer and profound peace to help you grow in faith this Lent!

Along the Way: An Online Lenten Retreat

Free, Starts Tuesday March 8

Boston College presents its first foray into virtual spiritual retreats, and they’ve picked an amazing host to lead it!

Catholic writer, speaker, and author Laura Kelly Fanucci will be directing our first virtual retreat journey, as we meet the men and women who served Jesus in His darkest hours—including Mary Magdalene, Nicodemus, and Joseph of Arimathea. Through their faith and courage, we will learn what it means to bring our whole selves to serve God—in ordinary and extraordinary ways. This experience will change how you hear the Gospel stories forever, as you explore the devotion of these ordinary, yet powerfully spiritual, role models, who are traditionally known as the “Myrrhbearers” for the vessels of myrrh mixed with oil they brought to honor Jesus’ body.

Dynamic Women of Faith Catholic Women’s Conference

$25 until March 5, $35 after March 5, Saturday March 19
