After a long and arduous day, we typically lie down to sleep and often think about our day. Depending on how our day went, we may be glad for the work we accomplished, or upset that we missed an opportunity.
Whichever is the case, we should give the work we do each day to God, asking him that this work will benefit our eternal soul.
Here is a version of a prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours that offers up to God the work we accomplished today.
Lord, give our bodies restful sleep;
and let the work we have done today
be sown for an eternal harvest.
Through Christ our Lord,
Amen.
