After the horrific tornadoes in Kentucky this past weekend, many people were left trying to salvage what few belongings remained from their homes that no longer offered any shelter.

But Jordan Baize from Kentucky decided that among the chaos he would find calm in playing a song that honors Jesus. So sitting at his damaged grand piano Baize played his song of praise, and it never sounded so sweet.

As his sister, Whitney Brown, shared on Facebook, she and her family were safe and sound after the weekend’s devastating tornadoes, but as she helped salvage belongings from her brother’s house that were left in ruins, she heard “the most beautiful sound.”

Sitting in what was once his lounge, Baize was calmly playing the Gaither song, “There’s Something About That Name.” As Brown heard her brother play she moved to where he was and started recording him.

“Everything around him was broken. The piano had water damage, it had missing keys, and he didn’t know I was filming, but still he used his gift to glorify his God the best way he knew how. Enjoy his God given gift,” she posted.

Take a minute to enjoy Braize’s song that reminds us that in our very worst moments we can take shelter in Jesus’ love, and He will give us the strength to carry on.
