Renowned Franciscan Fr. Stan Fortuna joins lineup for St. Joseph Summit

The jazz musician priest will speak on the “broken, burdened, but boundlessly blessed” family.

The star-studded lineup of speakers of the 2021 St. Joseph Summit has just become more robust. Fr. Stan Fortuna C.F.R. of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal just announced that he will take a turn at the podium. The live-streamed St. Joseph Summit is scheduled to run from September 30 to October 3.

Are you looking for greater hope in these most challenging times? Do you wish to discover the spiritual riches of St. Joseph’s powerful influence in your life? Do you want greater protection from evil? These are just a few of the questions the St. Joseph Summit will discuss over the course of the three-day event.

Run by Spirit Filled Ministries, the unprecedented summit will feature over 50 presentations from the world’s leading Catholic voices. Their line-up of Catholic leaders includes Cardinals Sean P. O’Malley and Timothy Dolan, Archbishops Salvatore Cordileone and Joseph Naumann, Kathleen Beckman, Dr. Scott Hahn, and many more.

Now their impressive panel will include Fr. Stan Fortuna as well. The Franciscan priest seemed thrilled to be included in the event, expected to draw thousands of Catholic viewers worldwide. In his video announcement, featured above, Fr. Fortuna said:

“I am here to invite you to the Saint Joseph Summit during the Year of Saint Joseph. I’m going to be focusing on the family, particularly the family, broken, burdened but boundlessly blessed during these times, during this Year of Saint Joseph. There are many lessons we need to learn, that we can learn, that Joseph wants to help us learn.”

Father Stan Fortuna

Ordained in 1990, Fr. Fortuna went on to become one of the eight founding members of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. Their community adheres to an ascetic lifestyle in their friaries, and they live in impoverished areas around the world ministering to the needy. They also produce high quality Catholic music.

Fr. Fortuna especially has been a fantastic contributor to these musical efforts. For years he’s been performing original Catholic music, leaning on his impressive skills as a jazz bassist. His music, as can be heard below, is unique, with rapid-fire lyrics and expansive chords played on solo bass.

Of Father Fortuna’s inclusion at the 2021 St. Joseph Summit, Deacon Steve Greco, president of Spirit Filled Hearts Ministry, said:

“Father Stan is an anointed priest whose life and witness of faith will bring depth to the upcoming Saint Joseph Summit. Father Stan is able to reach the young, families, the poor and all walks of life with a powerful presentation of the Gospel that is life altering.

Decon Greco added, “The point of the Saint Joseph Summit is for the purpose of renewal – for families and the Church. We are grateful to Father Stan for his presence at this summit and for the charism of St. Francis that he brings to unite to the mission we have to honor St. Joseph, patron of the Universal Church.

The St. Joseph Summit is scheduled to run from September 30 to October 3. Registration is free for the full three-day event. Those who wish to support Spirit Filled Ministries can upgrade to a Full Access Pass, which includes lifetime on-demand access to all Summit presentations, audio recordings, and more. The pass is now 50% off, so act now.
