It is often difficult to remain pure of thought and action in a world that promotes a contrary message.
Simply put, we can not remain pure on our own.
We need God’s help.
Here is a short prayer adapted from the Roman Breviary that asks the Holy Spirit to burn our hearts with his fire, that we may be purified in thought and action.
Lord, burn our veins and our hearts with the fire of your Holy Spirit that we may serve your with chaste bodies and pure minds.
