God will often test us and our faith by allowing certain trials in our lives. Sometimes this will include testing our finances, prompting us to seek financial help.
There are many methods we can use to get out of debt, and many resources online that can assist us in gaining financial freedom.
However, throughout our financial crisis, we should always keep God at the center, for he is a loving Father who wants to see us succeed.
Here is a brief prayer for financial help adapted from the The Catholic prayer book and manual of meditations to help you in your need.
O most tender and most loving of all Fathers! You are willing to receive this prodigal child, who has so justly incurred your heaviest displeasure; to change her affliction into joy, her poverty into wealth, and her misery into happiness. Who can sufficiently admire such an excess of goodness! I detest from my soul my past disorders. I am heartily sorry for them, and beg thy merciful forgiveness.
Clothe me first, I beseech thee, like the prodigal child, with the robe of charity; give me the ring of faith, and the sandals of hope, that I may worthily partake of your heavenly food. Delay not then, O loving Father, to come and meet your repentant child, that you may put an end to my misery, reform me to your image, and keep me for ever united to you. Amen.
