And there are only 18 months between all the sisters.

History has e a tendency to repeat itself, and this is certainly the case for four sisters from Sacramento, California. The Gaines sisters — Caroline, Amy, Haley and Katie —  were all born with 18 months of each other. And now, a few decades later, they are all set to give birth within months of each other.

The timing of these new additions couldn’t be better. When Katie first discovered she was pregnant it was in the throes of the pandemic. While this could have been an isolating experience, soon after her three sisters also became pregnant. “The amount of support that we can have, calling each other almost daily, has been, honestly, the coolest ever,” shared Caroline with CBS, Sacramento.

The supportive group of sisters almost feel like this “magical” adulthood experience is echoing their childhood. The women have a particularly close bond, so the fact they can accompany each other along the exciting, and sometimes daunting, journey that is pregnancy and motherhood makes this whole experience all the more wonderful.

These four babies, the first of whom was due at the end of March, will certainly bring some sunshine and chaos to the Gaines family. The two baby girls and two baby boys will be joining three bigger grandchildren to keep their families running around.

After experiencing such a tricky year with the pandemic, Amy is quick to point out: “It’s just instant happiness, you know, during a time that can feel so kind of dark. Everybody is kind of searching for those happy moments.” And as these new lives emerge into a hopefully less stressful world, may they be a sign of hope and new beginnings: a perfect Easter story!
