A group of seminarians from the John Paul II seminary are encouraging us to join them in raising money for the Sisters of Life in their #ProLifePush challenge.
The young (and pretty athletic) seminarians shared in a video that they’re all about defending life and doing push-ups. While it’s easy to understand their stance for the unborn, the push-ups might come as a bit of a surprise. But these men are on a mission, and they’ve got great motivation.
The seminarians are inviting us to challenge friends and family to do as many push-ups as they can in a minute. At the end of the minute, each complete push-up is counted and matched in dollars. So for those with super-fit friends, you might be donating quite a lot to the Sisters of Life.
The short video explains the three driving forces behind this challenge. First, to raise money for the Sisters of Life who devote themselves to the pro-life cause. Second, to encourage small acts of mortification, which the seminarians believe are the “spiritual backbone of this movement.” And finally, for everybody to come together and push against a pro-abortion culture.
So if you’re interested in helping this worthy cause and encouraging those around you to do a bit of exercise, join in with the #ProLifePush challenge. For those with extremely athletic friends, be sure to share with us their push-up count to inspire us in our challenges!
