Ask God, St. Joseph and the Virgin Mary to protect you from all evil during the night with this prayer.

When we lie down to sleep, it can be comforting to know that we are not alone and that God is watching over us, protecting us from harm.

Here is a short prayer from the 19th-century book Evening Prayers that asks the intercession of St. Joseph and the Virgin Mary for protection during the night.

Lord Jesus receive my soul. May the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Joseph and all the Saints pray for us to our Lord, that we may be preserved this night from sin and all evils. Amen.
