There’s no doubt that modern science can be totally awe-inspiring, not just for healing the sick, but for giving people opportunities to live their best lives. This is the case for Blake Leeper who, although he was born with no legs below the knee, went on to run 400m in just over 45 seconds, garnering 8 paralympic medals.
Thanks to the technology of his innovative prosthetics, and his grit and determination, the athlete from Tennessee is inspiring others with limited mobility. So when a two-year-old boy, KJ, recently had his first prosthetic leg fitted, Leeper wanted to be on hand to encourage the toddler.
While showing the little boy that he, too, had a different style of leg, he also could impress him with his nimble moves. Leeper’s Instagram post of the meeting is totally heart-warming and full of hope. Hopefully this little boy will grow up believing in his capabilities, and maybe he’ll go on to inspire others, too.
