Christmas tree and Nativity scene shine in Saint Peter’s Square

Check out these beautiful images from the ceremony

The 85-ft spruce was lit and Nativity scene unveiled in tonight’s ceremony in St. Peter’s Square. This year’s tree came from the centuries-old forests which were devastated by storms last year.

The tree, decorated with silver and gold balls, is stung with energy-efficient lights and the massive Nativity scene is made entirely out of wood.
