If you’re in need of the perfect Halloween costume that celebrates your faith (and that may help your kid get a little extra candy with a little heavenly help!), then we have some wonderful creations that are quite divine… and not too difficult to achieve.
They are far from the scary, ghoulish costumes often donned by young and old at this time of year — unless you opt for a St. John the Baptist costume, of course. Instead, they’re a beautiful way of paying homage to some remarkable holy men and women who remind us that this is indeed a celebration to honor all saints!
In fact, Halloween and All Saints can provide the perfect occasion to teach your children a little more about the saints. St. Thérèse de Lisieux was known to revere another French saint: the famous Joan of Arc. Her devotion to the young army commander led her to not only to write poems about the Maid of Orléans, but to dress up as her on occasion.
Therefore, if your children opt to be very saintly this Halloween and All Saints, they’ll be in great company. And who knows, maybe they’ll be little saints in the making!
