In today’s world, peace is hard to acquire. And sometimes the hardest peace to attain is that of interior peace.
In the Christian tradition, there are many pathways known to bring peace, and various spiritual masters over the centuries have laid down practical steps to achieve that peace.
For example, Italian priest Fr. Lorenzo Scupoli gave his spiritual tips for interior peace in his spiritual classic The Spiritual Combat, published in 1589. He provides basic steps that can help a person reorient their lives and banish anger or anxiety that plague a person’s soul.
