Pope Francis today sent condolences to all those who are mourning the 41st president of the United States, George HW Bush.
In a message sent through his secretary of state to the leader of the US bishops’ conference and the archbishop of Bush’s hometown of Houston, Cardinal Daniel DiNardo, the Holy Father assured his prayers for the Bush family.

Saddened to learn of the death of former President George H. W. Bush, His Holiness Pope Francis offers heartfelt condolences and the assurance of his prayers to all the Bush family.
