In the Judeo-Christian tradition, God has revealed himself in many different ways. These revelations are found in the Old and New Testaments where God is given various names that identify him and his action in the world.
Entire books can be written about each name for God that is found in the Bible, but the names used also have a basic definition that can be helpful in understanding the Eternal Spirit that is governing the universe.
