In the technological age, social media has become not just a portrait hall of our personal lives, but a center of social activism and a memorial in which to mourn and remember our shared tragedies. On this anniversary of 9/11, many are paying tribute via social media, with many calling for remembrance and unity.
One Twitter user writes, “Americans cried together. Americans grieved together. But most importantly, on that day, we came together. We are stronger together.”
