The Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe (Old Zuni) MIssion is located in Zuni, New Mexico, about 33 miles south of the city of Gallup. It was originally founded in the early 1600s by Franciscan Missionaries who had arrived from Spain. It served as mission to the Native American population of the Zuni tribe and still stands today. The interior is covered with highly detailed paintings (Kachinas) that integrate both Catholic and Zuni tradition.
