When you get a text from a wrong number, you probably ignore it or send back a quick “sorry, wrong number.” But Tony Wood decided to go the extra mile. When Sydney Uselton accidentally texted him asking for an opinion on a new dress, he gathered his five kids around him to make her day — and his kindness came back to bless him.
“I believe this message was intended for someone else,” Tony replied. “My wife isn’t home, so I couldn’t get her opinion, but the kids and I think you look stunning in your dress! You should definitely go with that one!”
He even had the kids gather around for a photo, and soon the exchange went viral on Twitter.

After the post went viral, Tony shared why his wife wasn’t home when the conversation took place: she had taken their sixth son, Kaizler, for chemotherapy treatment. Soon, the fans of the viral message found the family’s GoFundMe campaign, set up to help raise money for their son’s treatments for leukemia, and the page took off.
“A couple people on this Twitter frenzy have shared our GoFundMe. Over $1,000 donated today,” Tony said. “We’re speechless. [My wife] Rachel cried and I may or may not have choked up a little bit. God is good and knows our needs.”
Now, over $23,000 has been raised for their son’s treatment, from donors from all over the world.
Tony’s wife, Rachel, told BoredPanda: “It is so refreshing to be reminded that there are good people in the world who still care about others and are quick to be generous and kind to others.”
