Ben Zauzmer, or @BensOscarMath on Twitter, released a thread predicting the winners for this year’s Academy Awards, which will be aired on March 4, 2018. A Harvard graduate, Zauzmer employs his applied math degree to predict Oscar and Tony nominees and winners.
To celebrate the nine decades of Oscar celebrations, he released his predictions on Twitter by giving us “90 facts about the 90th Oscar nominations.”

As I wrote for the @nytimes (https://t.co/xMmFdSYYzi), Best Song noms from musicals win 24% of the time, and noms from cartoons win 26% since 1990. This year, “This Is Me” (@GreatestShowman) is from a musical, and “Remember Me” (@PixarCoco) is from both.
