The concept is simple, but the effect is quite beautiful. The images seem carefully curated, but they were all found by performing a Google search, and put together in a simple slide show set to music.
For his short film Bliss, Daniel McKee created a lovely, seemingly coherent video, using what he calls a “Google Image domino.”
He helpfully provides instructions for making one:
- Reverse search an image by dropping it into Google.
- Select the next image from the results.
- Repeat.
Bliss is set to techno-pop, and the images come so fast and furious it has the effect of making you feel you’ve had too much coffee. The possibilities, however, are endless – Gregorian chants, Neil Young, Mozart, you name it. Start with any one image that appeals to you. Google will take care of the rest.
