After two years of wedding planning, Sarah Cummins and her fiancé, Logan Araujo, decided to call it off just a week before the big day. But the reception was still a blast.
Instead of letting the non-refundable $30,000 deposit on the reception go to waste, Sarah chose to call her local homeless shelters and invite all the residents to enjoy the food and decor. Over 150 people showed up, all dressed for the occasion, thanks to other locals who donated formal wear for the guests after hearing of Sarah’s plans via social media.

Kendell Suevers, one of the bridesmaids who attended the reception 2.0 to support Sarah, said, “Out of everything, I just want people to understand that there are still wonderful people in this world.”
