The boys of Libera sing with angelic voices

J-P Mauro - published on 07/03/17

The non-profit group teaches these boys skills that will last their whole lives.

Libera released “Angel” on their 2017 album, Hope. The original song features soloist Isaac London, whose strong soprano voice leads the choir through the soothing hymn.

Their professional sound is always impressive. The boys of Libera obviously receive exceptional training in both technique and pronunciation. It is not common to hear a children’s choir with such good diction.

When they are not touring, Libera sings as part of the full choir of men and boys at St. Philip’s, Norbury. Many of their members are recruited from the parish choir, but it is not a requirement for membership.

Libera is a registered non-profit charity in the UK. Robert Prizeman, director of the choir, recruits members from all walks of life and denominations. The children are not paid for their work, but neither do they have to pay dues or for any expenses while touring. The group is funded by record sales and private donations.
