Thanks to a series of studies conducted by a group of scientists at the University of Queensland, an Australian telecommunications company organized an exclusive concert for large marine mammals.
According to the note originally published by CMUSE, Ben Welsch, the creative director responsible for the commercial for which the concert was made, proposed to serenade a group of humpback whales after the University of Queensland students succeeded in deciphering part of the communication codes whales use in their “songs”: “We wondered if it was possible for us to write our own ‘whale song,’ using the instruments of an orchestra. What would happen if the whales were able to hear it?”
