The moment a 7-year-old girl walked onto her school playground wearing a new pink prosthetic leg was captured on video, and broadcast by BBC Midlands. The young girl’s pride in her new “sports blade” is evident and wonderful to see, but it’s the reaction of the kids, who rush to her side with hugs and obvious joy, that is so memorable.
One is heard asking the girl, named Anu, “Is that your new pink leg?” And another says, “Wow!” They then proceed to run around the playground with Anu leading the way.

According to a report from the BBC Midlands, the girl, named Anu, had her leg amputated at birth, and just received the new blade from the National Health Service.
