See where fictional characters from past and present lived.

This map of London won’t help you find your way around, but it will delight any lover of fiction set in the capital city.

The names of literary characters from past and present are featured typographically in the locations where their stories took place.

“Each character has been plotted in the corners of the city they most liked to roam or chose to call home,” say the creators of the map — Dex, a London-based artist and graphic designer, and interior designer Anna Burles.

Some characters, such as Sherlock Holmes, are instantly recognizable. You probably even know his address at 221B Baker Street, but did you know that he was a stone’s throw away from Virginia Woolff’s Mrs. Dalloway? Or Adrian Mole, Age 13 3/4?

If you haven’t made up your summer reading list yet – this seems like a fine place to start. Available online here.
