These inexpensive ideas will help your ceremony look extraordinary.

Classic bouquets, minimalist displays of leaves and branches or wildflowers—the choices are virtually limitless. To most beautifully emphasize your unique and special day, here are some ideas to match the type of flowers to the character of the church’s interior and the style of the ceremony.

The picturesque chapel

This is an ideal place for a wedding ceremony because it doesn’t require fancy decorations. Sometimes laurel wreaths with ribbons and a few simple flowers at the pews are enough.

The magic of candles

Candles in glass lanterns create a unique atmosphere and give subtle light.

Instead of flowers …

Because of their scale, monumental Gothic cathedrals require large decorations. Garlands made of leaves look very noble and are far more economical than flowers.

The strength of simplicity

A branch of gypsophila with a white bow is simple and beautiful.

The WOW effect

Those who are looking for spectacular effects can create a flower arch. The guests will surely be delighted!

Minimalism

Theses types of ornaments should be adapted to the interior of the church. A simple, rustic mountain chapel will look beautiful adorned with small white bouquets, but large colorful flowers can dominate this kind of space too much.

The main theme

Why not use the same or similar flowers at both the church and reception? A consistent theme will look exceptional in the wedding album.

All green

Branches and vines as decorations for the altar and the bride’s and groom’s chairs? Why not, especially if the wedding takes place in nature.

Outside

Unless your wedding is one of five taking place that day, it’s worth considering decorating the entrance to the church or chapel. A few red ribbons, small Christmas trees, and wreaths on the door would be a very festive way to highlight a winter wedding.

Do it yourself

You can easily make these simple bouquets of wildflowers in hanging jars.
