Nick Fabian has been described as “the perfect combination of Saturday night at the club bliss and Sunday morning reflection.”
And this perfect combination seems to be resonating with people. Following the viral success on Facebook of his “Stuck In My Head” video, Nick’s latest video “How Do You Do That” is quickly taking off and sure to follow suit.
The young artist – son of professional musicians, both playing in the Dallas symphony – originally went to school for opera. By the end of his freshman year, though, he was looking for a change, musically and otherwise. College fraternity life led him in a deep downward spiral and left him wanting more.
Wanting to better understand his place and purpose in life, he turned to some of the greats like Aquinas, Augustine, and Pieper, who helped him find his way. “I like to think of myself as an old soul,” shared Fabian in an interview with Love Good Music, “and this sort of classical approach to God and theology was something that really spoke to me especially when I needed it the most.”
Rather than drawing his head into the clouds, though, it seems the artist’s deep Catholic inspiration has set his feet more firmly on the ground, just with a new direction. And his grasp of the human experience comes out in his music: “It really boils down to everyone is going through the same stuff at the end of the day. Everybody has the same human experience that we must overcome and we tend to have the same troubles and trials and things that we like and love sharing my taking in that.”
